The Giver is back in play

From Slash Film – Jeff Bridges has reacquired the rights to Lois Lowry’s classic dystopian novel, The Giver, and with producing partner Nikki Silver is once again attempting to turn it into a film. ¬†Bridges was close to succeeding back in 2006, but the project fell apart and the rights have only recently become available again. Bridges and Silver have set¬†Vadim Perelman (The House of Sand and Fog) to pen the adaptation, and Bridges himself is eyeing the role of The Giver.
