Spielberg, Kurtzman and Orci team up for Joe Hill’s Locke & Key

THR’s James Hibberd reports that Steven Spielberg, continuing his push into series television (Spielberg’s Fallen Skies and Terra Nova will launch this season) has teamed up with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Fringe, Hawaii 5-0) to adapt Joe Hill’s Locke & Key for television. The project is set up at 20th Century Fox TV and will be written by Josh Friedman (The Sarah Connor Chronicles).

Locke & Key – nominated for an Eisner award for best limited series and written by none other than Stephen King’s son – is the story of the Keyhouse, an unlikely New England mansion, with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them…. Home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all…

Could be cool. It sounds a bit like his Dad’s Haven, only scarier…
