DHD reports that Idris Elba (The Wire, Thor) has signed on to play Dr. Alex Cross, taking over the role from Morgan Freedman (who starred as Cross in Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider). The next installment will be based off Paterson’s novel Cross, and directed by David Twohy. Kerry Williamson wrote the script.

Have yet to read the book; BUT, and HOWEVER, if Idris Elba is cast in the/a James Patterson movie…..When does the movie debut? I will see it – for sure – just for the opportunity to watch Mr. Elba show off his spectacular acting talents, and, and, all of that sex appeal. Gotta love it !!!!
Unfortunately, since I posted this Idris Elba has bowed out of the project and Tyler Perry signed on to star as the lead. :(
