From DHD – Alloy Entertainment continues to corner the market on teen angst: the feature adaptation of Cate Tiernan’s young adult fantasy series (Sweep, from Alloy Entertainment books) moved forward today, with Universal hiring Robert Nelson Jacobs (Chocolat, The Water Horse) to write the feature adaptation. Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Picture Show banner is producing with Alloy Entertainment.
The Sweep series follows Morgan, a 16-year old who learns she’s a blood witch, descended from an ancient, powerful line.
That’s a talented screenwriter they’ve nabbed – could this be the Twilight clone that stands out from the crowd?
