It’s official – Sherlock‘s romantic foil is ready to riposte. The second series of Sherlock is set to kick things off in style, with none other than Irene Adler herself appearing in the first of three episodes. Of said ninety minute premiere, coming our way in 2012, we know only this: it is titled A Scandal in Belgravia, and is based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s A Scandal in Bohemia; it will be written by Steven Moffat; and the lady who was lucky enough to land this plum part is Lara Pulver, a British actress you may know from True Blood, Rome, or Robin Hood. (So tell me, True Blood fans, can Pulver do a decent American accent? Adler being a Jersey girl and all…)
As for the other two episodes of Sherlock series two, we can only infer from their titles: The Hounds of Baskerville and The Reichenbach Fall.
The wait for 2012 doesn’t seem to be getting any shorter, does it?
