Hugo is a movie steeped in film history – not only does this project have an Oscar winning director in Martin Scorsese, but it’s also based on a book (The Invention of Hugo Cabret) by Brian Selznik, who happens to be related to legendary movie producer David O. Selznik. Plus the story itself revolves around the revolutionary French director, Georges Méliès. Not bad for a 3-D family film, eh?
Hugo hits theaters November 23.
BTW, he’ll be at Flintridge Books in La Canada on Oct 21 at 7 pm–unfortunately, that’s the same time Maggie Stiefvater will be at Once Upon a Time in Montrose :/
WHY are these events always at the same time?!? Lol. How to decide…
I can’t wait to see this (although I haven’t yet read the book!). We have some Paramount film promoters in the office, and they’ve been raving about it.
The reviews out of NYFF are great too :)
