Miss Marple is back!
The Six by Agatha series continues this Sunday at 9 PM, with The Blue Geranium. I can’t say enough how wonderful this series is – last week’s installment, The Mystery of Chimneys, was absolutely brilliant. I am constantly amazed by the parade of top notch British acting talent that marches through these adaptations. Julia McKenzie, as Miss Marple herself, is absolutely perfect as the seemingly harmless old spinster with an unerring talent for solving crime. Join me in being glued to your television this Sunday.
If you missed last week’s installment, The Secret of Chimneys, you can watch the full episode online at PBS:

And from Jace’s review at Televisionary:
The two Marple mysteries that air over the next two Sunday evenings are among the very best of the series, offering a series of plot twists, red herrings, bait-and-switches, and some deductive reasoning that matches Jane’s wits against the very best of Scotland Yard…All in all, Masterpiece Mystery‘s ongoing Marple proves just why Agatha Christie’s work continues to endure decades later, offering slick, smart, and taut mysteries. They are a pleasure to watch, though I do feel bad each time, not for Miss Jane Marple, but for those criminals she’s set her sights on… and for those foolish police officers who believe she’s nothing more than a dotty old lady.
