From Media Bistro – I had no idea actor Gene Hackman wrote westerns, but not only has he already co-written three (Wake of the Perdido Star, Justice for None, and Escape from Andersonville), he’s now sealed a deal to publish his forth book and first solo effort, Jubal’s Bounty, with Pocket Books. The story takes place in 19th century of New Mexico and follows a brave young hero who is forced to take the law into his own hands after the murder of his family.
Deputy publisher Anthony Ziccardi acquired the worldwide rights to the book, and the deal was negotiated by Noah Lukeman of Lukeman Literary Management. The book will be published in July 2011.
I wonder if it was Wyatt Earp that gave him the bug…
