Zombies will be taking over AMC this fall. That’s right, the network that brought us critical darlings Mad Men and Breaking Bad is taking a huge genre leap with The Walking Dead, a mini-series adaptation of the wildly popular post-apocalytpic comic series from writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore. Horror may be a new flavor for AMC, but the talent oozing out of this project is just what we’ve come to expect from the cable network – the fantastic Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) both wrote and directed the pilot, which stars Andrew Lincoln and Michael Rooker.
Keep an eye out for the Walking Dead, coming this October. The buzz surrounding this project is deafening.
