The writer who lost his ability to read (but kept writing)

This is the wild true story of Canadian mystery writer Howard Engel – he literally woke up one morning and couldn’t read his morning paper. NPR created a video to illustrate what went wrong with Howard’s brain, the result of a small stroke he’d suffered overnight. And amazingly enough, he is slowly beginning to read again, with the help of neuroscientist Oliver Sacks. Unbelievable.
