Steven Spielberg’s next directing project will be a bigscreen adaptation of War Horse, the acclaimed children’s novel by Michael Morpurgo. The movie is set to be released August 11 next year and is being produced by DreamWorks in association with Reliance and Disney. The book was adapted by Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) and Richard Curtis (Love, Actually) from the original book and stage adaptation. British theatre actor Jeremy Irvine will play the young horseman, Albert. Oscar-nominated Emily Watson and David Thewlis are set as Albert’s parents.
The acclaimed stage adaptation started at London’s National Theatre in 2007 and is currently on at the New London Theatre in the West End. It has been announced that it will transfer to Broadway in November.

the book in the middle and just started reading,
I did not realize that this story was the from the
perspective of a horse first of. I was grabbed by
the style and the story. The author has got a lot into
this story and it works
I read the entire book on the Sunday it was excellent.
It reminded me of the way Wilbur Smith wrote Rivergod
through the eyes of a slave. If you have not looked at any of the above
you missing out big time.
