The award winning and critically acclaimed series “Kurt Busiek’s Astro City” is finally getting off the page. Working Title Films (Nanny McPhee, Atonement) announced that they have signed a deal to develop the series into a live action feature film and Busiek himself will be writing the script.
For those unfamiliar with this popular series, “Astro City” is good old fashioned comic book fun. Launched as a creator-owned title back in 1995 by Busiek and artists Brent Anderson and Alex Ross, Astro City is known for breaking away from the darker trend and bringing back a sense of wonder as it explores superheros, supervillains, and the average man on the street caught between them.
