From DHD – You last saw her back in the 70’s, in The New Adventures of Wonder Woman, embodied by Lynda Carter. A feature adaptation has been simmering in development for years but never managed to get off the ground. But finally it looks like we’ll be seeing Wonder Woman again – back on the small screen.
Warner Brothers TV has tapped David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, The Practice) to sheppard a new incarnation of Wonder Woman. Kelley will both write and produce the pilot, a contemporary take on the classic character.
In the comic books, Wonder Woman has evolved quite a bit since she first appeared in a 1941 issue of All Star Comics. Most recently she underwent a controversial makeover (see left), so it remains to be seen which incarnation of Wonder Woman Kelley will use.
We can only guess what costume she’ll be wearing…
