From DHD – And Hollywood continues its fairy tale rampage, with a dark re-telling of the famous fable Jack and the Beanstalk becoming the latest to get the go-ahead. Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures have given the project a green light and production will begin this spring. Bryan Singer (X-Men) will direct, from a script by Darren Lemke and Mark Bomback. Neal Moritz and David Dobkin are producing. No word yet on what young actor will land this juicy role.
So we had the Alice remake last year, we’ve got a Red Riding Hood remake in theaters soon, and Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and Pinocchio are all in development. Should we start placing bets on what will be next?
