The CW tries again for Confessions of a Back-Up Dancer

From DHD – Alloy Entertainment is having a big week. First they have two pilots picked up at ABC Family, and now the CW is finalizing a script deal for another Alloy Entertainment project, based on the book Confessions of a Back-Up Dancer by Tucker Shaw. Sascha Penn will write the adaptation, and Marcos Siega (who directed the Vampire Diaries pilot) is attached to direct and produce.

The CW, Warner Bros. and Alloy tried last year to bring Confessions to the small screen, but that adaptation, written by The L Word creator Ilene Chaiken, didn’t go to pilot. If at first you don’t succeed…

Confessions of a Back-Up Dancer explores the glamorous and gritty behind-the-scenes world of a major pop tour from the point of view of the star’s troupe of backing dancers.
